A Christmas Letter (repost)
My family pet me well all throughout the year. I am well kept and fed 3x a day with a little something to take during snack time. Sometimes joining the lady boss plus 2 adorable rabble-rousers over late night snacks.
Over weekends, they ask me to snuggle together over a good movie and consistently ask me to join them in their slumber. Jai, the eldest kid has entered into a new school and being a faithful servant of the house, I would take him to the gate where his school service awaits.
And while the little girl Ayen remains home, would not let the day pass by without her Dora, Diego and High-5.
I am with the company of 2 endlessly yelping Japanese Spitz. Make up these 4 creatures – Jai, Ayen and the spitz altogether, is like chaos in a sanctuary that has been wrapped in echoes of thunder.
And lastly, the lady boss arriving late nights from work and sings off key at most inappropriate times… Funny how the little girl Ayen puts up her hand and say STOP! The lady boss who continuously puts up with me no matter how stubborn I get. We do have our fine moments together but when things get a little out of hand, I get a pat on the back while reassuring me that everything will be ok.
The year has been a puddle of so much emotions. I guess that’s the kind of creature I am. I know that the new year will bring so much more for this family and I.
As I wag my tail, or spread my wings, I know God blesses the day, and never ceases to direct my way.
May you have a wonderful Christmas, a blessed new year and with a whole lot of loving.
Love from,
Alf, Butch, Jai and Ayen
